Installing a 60 amp Maxi Fuse in the engine compartment means that you must reduce the load that the fuse can handle. The load may be reduced by as much as 20% if heat is trapped around it. In other words, an overly hot engine compartment can decrease the rating of a 60 amp fuse to 38 amps!
